I often think that it is all living beings who have enlightened the Buddha

Once, I was a materialist. That was until my left foot crossed the threshold of the temple. In an instant, a profound sense of piety welled up within me. However, what I was venerating was not the Buddha, but myself - the self of the future, my desires, and my dreams.

From the Perspective of the Interdependent Relationship in Philosophy

In the realm of philosophical understanding, things are interdependent and mutually reinforcing. The Buddha represents a state and image of transcendence, enlightenment, and liberation. In contrast, all living beings are the multitudes mired in worldly afflictions and the cycle of birth and death. From this perspective, without the various sufferings, perplexities, and yearnings for liberation that living beings experience in the world, there would be no "objects of salvation" for the Buddha's compassionate guidance. Consequently, there would be no way to manifest the Buddha's mercy and wisdom. It is precisely the existence of living beings that provides the ground and significance for the Buddha's practice and the cause of salvation. The two are interdependent, and to some extent, it can be said that living beings have brought into being the very concept and image of the Buddha.
